Receiving Clerk

Denver, CO          Full Time          Experienced

SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of jobs tasks within the Warehouse department.  Including to, but not limited, scheduling and coordinating receipt of all inbound freight, and other utility functions, as assigned.  Will perform tasks to assist Department Managers and give guidance to Associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Required to validate all inbound loads and ensure they meet McDonald’s requirements. This includes checking temperatures on refer units and validating seals numbers with Bill of Ladings.
  • Seals need to be broken with bolt cutters and the seal number must be noted on the Bill of Lading.
  • Communication with the receiving team.
  • Loads are in and out in a timely manner. (2 hours)
  • Inspect inbound loads for cleanliness.
  • Review completed ROR’s. Compare the ROR to the Bill of Lading. Make sure quantities match.
  • Report damages to purchasing and the warehouse management team.
  • Must be familiar with and/or learn to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack/forklifts or other heavy equipment)
  • Other duties assigned as business necessitates.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School or equivalent education.  One-year experience working with warehouse paperwork within the distribution industry or comparable Mile Hi experience.  Knowledge of fleet operations, equipment, and terminology. Knowledge of PTM Software is helpful.  Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Word Excel with skills and ability to learn software for data entry and report usage. General accounting knowledge with one-year experience in a general office with A/P, or A/R responsibility.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively with all levels of the organization.  Ability to maintain a professional relationship in phone, email, and written correspondence with individuals within and outside of the company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures with the use of calculator and spreadsheet; calculation by touch is preferred.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.  Ability to anticipate challenges such as problems in achieving deadlines early enough to report to management with resolution to issues.

  • Input information with a keyboard and maintain electronic and paper files.
  • Physically locate tractors and trailers on the lots or in the Shop.
  • Sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms from the floor to six feet in height.
  • Speak and understand English on phone and similar devices as well as in-person.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Walk up and down stairs (6-20) steps two to ten times per shift.
  • Walk from 15 to 100 feet two to ten times per shift.
  • Lifting 5 to 50lbs one to ten repetitions per week

The noise level in the warehouse work environment is usually moderate.  When the employee enters the warehouse, yard, or Shop areas they will be exposed to extremes in temperature, slick walking surfaces, and dust.

The office requires entry by stairways of from three to seventeen steps.

PAY:

$20/hour

SCHEDULE:
3PM – 2AM / Wed – Sat
