Job Description

SUMMARY:

Mile Hi Companies is seeking experienced Order Selectors to join our high-performance team. This is a swing shift position in a multi-temperature distribution center (dry, cooler, freezer), with freezer experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
(other duties may be assigned)
  • Select orders accurately using wearable RF scanner technology.
  • Build tight, stable pallets for multi-stop routes.
  • Operate double electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Work across multi-temp zones (dry, cooler, freezer).
  • Meet zone-specific productivity goals while maintaining accuracy.
  • Communicate with loaders and supervisors to keep freight moving.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience in high-volume order selection (foodservice or grocery distribution preferred).
  • Proficient in RF scanning systems; experience with Vocollect voice-directed picking is a plus.
  • Skilled in double jack operation.
  • Ability to work in freezer conditions (-10°F) for extended intervals.
  • Physically capable of repetitive lifting, bending, and stacking pallets up to 7 feet.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Needs
Must be able to work from a standing position while operating equipment.  Must be able to step on and off pallet jack and pallets; bend, crouch, and lift cases weighing from 10 to 50 lbs from pallet height to an elevation of seven feet turn; twist and step to securely transfer objects to other pallets from level of pallet to seven feet elevation.  This process is constantly repeated for a duration of two hours for four intervals per day.  Must be able to work in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures; may include refrigerated or freezer areas (zero degrees) for at least two hours for four intervals per day.  Ability to achieve and maintain performance expectations related to speed and accuracy within six weeks of onboarding.
Work Environment

REQUIRED PPE

  • Steel-toed shoes
  • Freezer suit (in the freezer area only)
  • When changing batteries – mask/full face shield, bib, gloves

Schedule

  • Swing Shift: 3:30 PM – Until Finished
  • Overtime opportunities available.
Compensation
Starting at $23.32/hour + Performance Incentives
