SUMMARY:

The Project Manager at Mile Hi Companies is a pivotal role that oversees the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a project. This individual is a strategic planner, a problem-solver, and a dynamic leader who ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. By effectively managing resources and communicating across all levels of the organization, the Project Manager plays a crucial role in driving Mile Hi Companies’ continuous improvement and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for project communications, fostering collaboration across project teams and ensuring alignment with executive leadership and stakeholder objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project delivery is unaffected by unforeseen challenges.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources and tasks, ensuring that team members have the tools needed and are focused on the critical components of the project.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to maintain the high standards expected throughout the project lifecycle, making adjustments as necessary to deliver excellence.
  • Adaptability: Respond to changes in project scope, schedule, and resources in an agile manner, ensuring project objectives are met despite shifts in the environment.

  • Experience in managing projects within specified timeframes and budgetary constraints.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of crafting and delivering clear, concise reports and presentations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Project Management, or related field.
  • Four or more years of experience in project management, preferably within the distribution, logistics, or related industry.
  • Familiarity with web technologies and software platforms, with an emphasis on usability and performance.
  • PMP required
  • ACP, PPM, CPD, Green belt or yellow belt in Lean or Six Sigma a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to clearly read, understand, and interpret project documentation and operational manuals.
  • Proficient in composing professional reports and correspondence, capable of effective communication within and outside the organization.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

This individual must be able to operate Windows-based PC programs, have internet search skills, the ability to learn and utilize computer programs, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint as well as various virtual meeting platforms including Zoom & Microsoft Teams.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The role requires a combination of desk-based and on-site activities. The candidate must be capable of operating in diverse environments, from office settings to warehouse and distribution centers, including exposure to varying temperatures. Physical requirements include handling documents, equipment operation, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Travel to project sites may be required.

Monday – Friday / 8am – 4:30pm

PAYRATE:

$115,000+/year
