Night Warehouse Supervisor

Denver, CO          Full Time          Experienced

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the daily receipt, storage, selection and loading of products as directed by Warehouse Manager. Directs the selection, training, and management of the shift warehouse workforce to ensure reliable, accurate and safe performance within the standards as expressed by the company and regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the department and employees operate in a safe manner; follow programs to measure safety performance
  • Trains and retains direct supports in the completion of their duties.
  • Ensures a responsive and continuous program to meet Silliker requirements
  • Implements programs to track and maintain positive results for order reliability and dependability
  • Develop programs to track and control department expenses
  • Implements/develops programs to meet or exceed delivery schedules
  • Responsible for referring powered industrial trucks for maintenance
  • Complete annual employee reviews and salary recommendations for approval of the Warehouse Manager.
  • Conduct pre-shift stretching and monitor employees in safe operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School graduate. Two years’ experience in supervision or management position. Completes on-going management education through internal and external sources, as required.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

Ability to learn and utilize computer programs to advance functional aspects of assigned department. Ability to coach other employees in the effective use of programs, as needed. Basic competency with Microsoft Office.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and compose professional reports and correspondence to recipients within and outside of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as subtotal, grand total, and percentages. Ability to express technical department-related mathematical concepts to line and management employees.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to analyze complex technical information and concepts and to present information to non-technical employees with line and management responsibilities.

The employee will be required to use public transportation and effectively travel to locations as directed by management. On occasion, the individual may be required to work or be available for extended periods of time.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to come to work daily and on time.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment will include, on occasion, travel outside of the primary facility of Mile Hi.

REQUIRED PPE:

  • Steel toed shoes
  • Freezer suit (in the freezer area only)
  • When changing batteries – mask/full face shield, bib, gloves

PAY:

$65,000-$70,000 per year (DOE)

SCHEDULE:

  • Wednesday – Saturday
  • 2:30pm Start
